A guy at work mentioned a red hose stores less humidty than a black hose. I didn't see anything about what hose to use in the sticky and did a search. My brother who went to school to paint never heard of this. But, did say all the lines at the school were red. Can someone shed some light on this.
Thanks for any help

Do you mean the air lines for compressed air? If so I wouldn't think it would matter what color it is. I've seen blue and green lines before.

Yes, the air line that is between the gun and the compressor.

Incorrect, a flexible stiff ***** pink hose stores the least amount of humidity and works the best...seriously.

Its not hte color of the hose its what its made of.The "***** pink" is a natural rubber which absorbs and expels water through the pores.The other is a poly or plastic which contains water.You know this on cold days when you try to wind them up they try to stay curled while the rubber will wind up just fine.An easier way to tell is the price if you paid 15 bucks for a 50 ft hose its poly.Rubber will run 60 to 100 bucks depending on dia. and length.
of the hose its what it made of and not to be smart or anything but it doesnt look like you do 30 paint jobs a week so your compressor is not running full time and not creating any moisture.We actually have a ac cooling to the booth lines which kills all the moisture but we also use the natural rubber hoses to prevent moisture build up in the air hose not the lines

Is this the proper hose?

>>> $29.99 at Harbor Freight <<<
Or this Craftsman painters hose
Same price and the Craftsman one states for painting. Think I'll get that one
I have a water seperator / oiler between the compressor and air hose. Do I just remove the oil and leave the device inline or remove it entirely from the system when painting?
