It will free up a little.

Probably give you .001 in you 0-60.

That and kill the environment.

Gives cops a reason to pull you over too, not just for the crappy & ricey sound, but for the smell you leave behind of raw burned gas. Thats a nice hefty fine and a required court appearence in some states.

Supposedly a high flow cat will give you better flow and not give you a check engine light. Some are supposed to be OBD2 compliant. Dont take the cat off, you will not only sound retarded, but you will also backfire making you look even more retarded. I've had a high flow before and it didn't give me a check engine light, had to get it cause i was on a low budget and couldn't afford OEM.

MANY high flow cats will still cause the cel to come on.
And in no way, are real high flow units any cheaper, in fact they tend to be more expensive, because the filament is larger.

you CAN confuse your computer by adding the O2 bung insert by blox, that places the 02 sensor slightly farther from the pipe, so it doesnt read that much exhaust gas, therefore reading for less emissions( = No CEL). You can get one at inlinefour.com under the exhaust section.
