Alright guys, I thought I was going to be able to go to Discount Tire today to have my new tires mounted. But to my dismay the retail location in Texas that my local Discount Tire was getting my set of tires from sold them to a customer (plus I didn't find out until the day I was supposed to get them, late). And Discount Tire is backordered until Middle June (not in time for Expo).

NEEDED:

So I am on a mission. I need a set of tires for Expo this year. If that means I have to also purchase a set of rims along with the tires, I will. That is if they aren't ridicuous. I would prefer a 15x7 or a 16x7 rim.

or just a set of tires:
Falken Azenis RT-615 = 205/50/15

If someone is heading to Expo with one of the needed items, and they are in need of a rebuilt ITR USDM LSD transmission we can work out a trade. I could bring my extra one. But I am not going to bring it unless I know I have a sale or trade, it would just take up to much room now that I have decided not to tow my ITR with a big gas guzzling SUV. So, yes, I do have a rebuilt USDM ITR LSD transmission for trade. But I would like to have some baller *** rims if I was to get rid of it (i.e. Volk,Mugen,Work Emotion, etc.)

I also need them SHIPPED ASAP to Indiana, Zip 46815. If anyone has any other great ideas, please pitch them my way.

p.s. To that guy in Texas with a ITR (probably going to Expo) you sure did get lucky. It must have happened over the weekend. Those were supposed to be shipped out on Tuesday.

vulcantire.com claims they have them in stock, $73 tire.

 

It looks like vulcan only has them available in their Utah warehouse though. I wouldn't get them in time.

I may have a set mounted and balanced on Monday. But I think I still need a back up plan seen how I should've had one to begin with since this is now the week before.

db8sirg, I got your IM and IMed you back. Wondering about the color and price. Also were you eyeing my transmission or just cash?

Anyone else going to Expo with an extra set of 15x7 or 16x7 baller *** rims with a trackable tire on them? And you are in need of a USDM ITR LSD transmission? I am going to go take a picture or 2 and post up soon.

Well, my plan B has now fallen through! These damn tires are nearly impossible to touch before Expo.

I should have just ordered through Vulcan instead of helping out the local guys first! I tried getting these tires 3 weeks ago. I had a crack at 2 overnighted for tomorrow, what a joke!

So a good friend that owns a performance shop is getting me some sort of hook up on some Toyo Proxes. I don't even know which ones, but he said he spoke with a rep that runs a STi, so I guess he knows sticky from non-sticky. Even said after the event if I don't like the tires, I can swap them out (NoCost) for the Azenis once they come in. <-- Great Guy!

 

Kosei K1s (15x7" +38), barely used, with some used Falken Azenis RT-615, 205/50/15. They'd be good for some track use but the tires will need replacing soon.

 

A little bit bigger then you want, but in perfect shape with 95% 615 tread left. I'll pack these mugs on the plane I swear...
