USDM '96-'00 Civics don't have clocks from the factory besides the one in the radio. That means the cars that don't have radios don't have any clock.

You can wire it into your radio's harness though. NOT the car harness.

Okay, all you have to do is remove your climate control/radio bezel from the car. The clock slides in from behind and fits in with two screws. The screw holes are not previously threaded, but that shouldn't be a problem.

The little blue plug on the back of the clock will have four wires coming from it. Battery (white & blue), ignition (yellow), dimmer (red & black), and ground (black). I'll be wiring these into my radio wiring harness.

On the radio wiring harness the wiring should be as follows: Battery (yellow), ignition (red/red & black), dimmer (orange), and ground (black).

Function --- Clock --- Radio
Battery
--- white & blue --- yellow
Ignition --- yellow --- red/red & black
Dimmer --- red & black --- orange
Ground --- black --- black

That's just it. They came in EKs, not our US EJs. They're availabel in amber, white and green (like the factory interior color for most US 6th gens).

Mine, a gift from my friend, who originally had it in his Dutch EK3.

So far, most people I've seen selling them sell them for $70+ or so, plus shipping and handling.

I can't think of any business offhand that sells them. I'd suggest checking the classifieds or find a friend in Europe that might be able to find one for you.

Contact Chiswick Honda. They will ship to the states, but you probably won't get a pigtail to wire it up if you buy the clock new.

As this thread died long ago, it would be best if you make your own thread.
