I am putting a built B16a2 head on a stock B16a2 block and i am going to boost it. i bought golden eagle head studs and I have misplaced the black washers that go with them. i know i have to use hardened washers but can i just buy some from a local hardware store or does anyone know if i can buy just the headstud washers from a shop? if you know a place online please post a link. thanks also if you know the specs on the washers i need please post them. this is the only thing keeping me from getting my turbo motor running please help!!!!!

 

I would say the safest thing would be to contact Golden Eagle and see if you can get replacement washers.

 

you need good quality flat grounded washers. i'd call GE for theirs as well.

 

I WOULD NOT USE ANYTHING BUT THE SUPPLIED WASHERS CONTACT G.E. AND HAVE THEM OVERNIGHTED.

regardless if something else will work or not something so critical and so cheap is not worth fooling with. if some other washers are used and dont work out it could cause major issues.

they are also factored into the torque specs etc.. so that would be thrown off if you use regular washers.
