Default Aftermarket Header on RSX Base (searched)

Hey there,

I've been searching around but only found answers to my question if i had a RSX-S. I've been looking around for a header for my A3 motor. Does anyobdy know the best bang-for-the-buck header for a K20A3? I know you need ESMMs for a A2, is this the same case for an A3 and if so, where can I get some?

Shop around for the 02-05 Si header, its the same part. I had a DC shorty header on my base. It was a nice. Coupled with 05 Type S catback I had on there it gave me some good gains. I had the Catback extended though and the flange rotated to fit the Base.

i believe if you purchase a type-s race header it will fit on a type-s exhaust
i'm about 70% sure
can someone back this up

you can purchase esmm from clubrsx.com or wotm.com

Yes. But if you're sticking with the base model exhaust, you can get a header originally intended for the 02-05 EP3 Si as mentioned earlier.

Now I'm wondering -- are there many choices of catback exhausts for the base RSX? EP3 catbacks won't fit right, and neither will Type-S catbacks...

You can get an adapter to make any type s catback fit on the base, or have a shop weld it on for about 50 bucks like i did.

lol from experience, if base models are running a dcrh, made for the S, you need a type-s exhaust system. Comptech made the extension for the race header for the base models and I think 5Zigen made one too. But I would just run an S exhaust for better flow.

You need to specify which type of header are you looking for...Race Header or Short? So for for a race header, DCRH is the best bang for the buck...but if you can save a more $$$ then get something else than DC...You'll have better #'s...
