I don't know if you have considered moving at all or not? Phoenix metro is the fastest growing area in the country and the cost of living is fairly cheap.
You should apply anyways.

Hello,
I am a 14 year Autocad Civil 3d 2004 Instructor, Civil Eng tech, and standards trainer and manager. I attended AU last year, and will again this year.
I code in Autocad (lisp and com), C++, and C#.
I speak Japanese (student), was an Airforce airframe structural repair specialist, and fitted a litton servo cnc system to a manual vertical mill, and have basic welding and machine shop practice skills as well.
I am interested in entertaining other offers, but I have a nice job. What is your company offereing?
John
