Default Turbo for 05 Lx

hey whats goin on guy? i was looking around ebay for parts for 05 civic when i came across this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem i kno what your thinking yea ebay you get what u pay for...... but i was thinking instead of buying a 2,500 dollar greddy or any turbo they make for our cars... i can buy that drive that until i can upgrade the turbo and intercooler and it still would be less than 2,500... iono you think thats smart..? i mean all the piping and clamps and **** all basically the same no? let me know...

I wouldn't buy it without modifying the engine a little first. The plastic intake manifold is going to hold you back. Also, with those eBay specials, you're asking for cracks/breaks in the turbo manifold, heavily abused turbo's with paint on the housings to cover up their wear/tear, inconsistent boost pressure due to poorly made bov's (which could lead to many engine problems from overboosting), and a plethora of headaches from the cheap intercooler.

yea but i wouldnt buy a turbo kit for a car unless i fully-rebuild the motor...... but no go? not even getting say a better manifold, better turbo, intercooler and a bov? i think it will still be under 2,500? b/c theres sites i know that you can take a greddy turbo kit and just pick out certain peices so i could just pick up the manifold get a greddy bov, spraco intercooler or w.e other brand.... n a better turbo for 300-400 bucks i dont realle know open for ideas?

Now, that sounds just silly. You'd buy a turbo kit, then replace all of it's components?

Like spending money that much?
