Default code 7, TPS sensor?

finally got around to checking my C.E.L, got a code 7 which is a malfunctioning TPS sensor.

how does this sensor affect the overall performance? i was thinking it would hold me back on the thorottle mixed in with acceleration?

what do you guys think? anyone have this trouble, i figure this sensor costs a pretty $$$.

I've had that code before on my Gsr. To my memory I dont think it had an affect on performance mine would (sometimes) turn on at around 8000 rpm and if I shut off the car an re start it would not appear.

To get a new one (from the dealer) you would have to buy the entire tb assembly. Someone on this board may have one for sale. Good luck.
