yes, it took me a VERY long time to make it look this good, i thought it was very nice. And thx for the "stand out" hahahaha, thats what I wanted it to do. YAY!!! right now its sanded down, I had wrecked it, but it was black, and will be repainted gloss black again.

thx for the reply

ths for your reply man!!! i used Aircraft removal to get all the paint off...which deff worked like a charm, SOOO EASY AND GREAT USE...then i sprayed it off with water when the VC was bare metal, let it dry, helped dry it...then used 500 degree Dupli-Color ENGINE ENAMEL PRIMER- DE1612, I used 2 coats of primer, let it all dry, then the fun part

I used the GREAT color "GRABBER GREEN-DE1641" which is also a Dupli-Color ENGINE ENAMEL PRODUCT which is also good up to 500 degrees..

IT REALLY GRABS PEOPLE lol

by the way, I used 4 coats of the Grabber Green spray paint...which the aircraft remover pain, and primer paint were both in cans...all 3 cans of spray paint were 6 dollars...it turned out very good

For the lettering I actually used CREST toothpaste and 4 q-tips to spread the toothpaste over the letters and whatever i wanted to remain the color, which in case with the DOHC VTEC etc. was silver... and i sprayed over all the lettering and everything and when it was all finished...took a dry rag and just wiped the "toothpaste paint" away...YAY

a good project, and well worth it, turns great with good patience, hope everyone tries to paint there VC.

looks very clean.

so you just put toothpaste over the letters while painting and it worked like that?

what i did:

1. used the aircraft revomer spray and spayed the whole VC down, waited about 5 minutes....go the hose...sprayed the VC down, paint came right off.

2. applied the toothpaste to the lettering and bolt holes

3. with the toothpaste on, i sprayed the primer once, let it dry, sprayed it again .. two coats and let it dry 15min

4. 5min each... applied the grabber green color to the primed VC and sprayed 4 coats on it and let it dry...

5. LET THE WHOLE THING DRY FIRST, TOOTHPASTE DOESNT DRY ON THERE

6. just take a clean dry rag, and simply wipe the toothpaste...or the lettering off and it looks clean, and shiny.

7... put it back on

and for extra...i used the VC plug wire cover...it was a silver/grey stock color...and sanded that down and used flat black to paint it.

I THINK IT LOOKS GOOD... any other help? ill be more than glad to help
