i got a problem with my crx that i just found out about it today.... i was driving my crx and i notice that when ever i turn right there is a jumping noise.. sorta like a broken axle... coming out from the left side of the car... i thought it was the axle because it sounds like it when ever i turn.theres that pulling of the car and tat tat tat noise.....but went to kragen and change them today for a new one still does the same thing.... so i know its not the axle that is messed up... could it be my transmission or wheel bearing? or the intermadiate shaft? need help trying to find out this problem i need this for daily commuter... please any opinions would be appraciated..... thanks guys

 

proly ur intermediate shaft, wheel bearing wobble the wheel when they go bad

get a new intermediate shaft, what tranny u got?

 

its a ctr civic type r trannsmission that i just swapped out this past saturday.. but i started communiting on it today.. and it bearly started doing that today... so i dont know if its the transmission? wheel bearing? or the intermadiate shaft? i not its not the axle... i dont know about the wheel bearing because it only does that when im turning from one side left side only... so what would you recommend changing first?

 

is it a loud tick because my crx does the same thing but it is a slight tick whenever taking a right hand turn at a high speed. The thing is i have a sohc zc with the dx tranny so i dont have an intermediate shaft and mine does it.

 

change the intermediate shaft, its not ur wheel bearing. and did u get the right axle when u replaced it?

 

yeah its the right axle it fit right in into my intermadiate shaft... so yeah its the right axle so could it be the intermadiate shaft? i will do it tommorow right now its kind of late... you think it could be the tranny? or no?

 

i only got 30 day warranty on the trans and 18 already past so i need to drive it and see what type of problems will come up if any do... like this one today... damn it was driving fine before when i had the cable trans.. and also when i put the ctr.. but i guess something got messed up today... so think it can be the trans?

i have an update i just swaped out intermadiate shaft with axles as well from one out of a 94 gsr hydro shaft... and still does the same thing... i also notice that it might be getting worse because i think when i turn left now its doing as well... damn i was wondering could this be my transmission? if so please let me know because my warranty on it is almost done i got 11 days left.. in order to exchange it for another one... so could it be the trans? and one more thing i leafted up the car so both front wheels are in the air.. and when the car is in neutral both wheels spin... and trans is not in gear... is this normal? for both wheels to spin when they are in the air jacked up....please give me some info on this thanks guys...

 

im having that same damn problem man id doubt its the tranny. i kacked it up took the left tire off and disconnected the upper arm from the joint and put the car in gear and if u move the hub out it stops but u push in it gets worse

 

so what are you saying it could be? i think that the tranny has a spool thats why i can turn with that tranny... i think that the tranny has aftermarket lsd and thats what is causing this crackin noise when ever i turn could it be?

 

i think that it might be the axle.. but my buddy just did the same swap and has the same problem

 

does it have an lsd? 'cuz i know lsd's tick on turns.

 

its not the axle because i changed them twice.. and lsd tranny do not tick when you are turning who told you that...if yours is ticking while you are turning then something is messed up... no transmission should tick when your turning unless you have a spool or drag racing only lsd...... yes my tranny is a civic type r lsd tranny.. but it does not have oem lsd.. it has and aftermarket so im thinking it might have a spool and spools are not ment for turning and daily driving.. they are for drag racing only.... anyway i already took it off and took it back to the guy that sold it to me... n1concepts.com he said he was going to check it out... and let me know what is going on... on monday... so thanks for all the replys but i know its the tranny lsd that it has...
