Thanks!
I only had a day there and the drive was 4 hours so I couldn't do much.
You _must_ pack well with food (as well as take precaution for bears). And if you plan on going up the 8 hour hikes in the Half Dome area to get the nice views of the valley, you should get in some physical shape before going. It's NOT easy lol.
Must visit: Half Dome, El Capitan, Waterfalls in the area, Swim in mirror lake, and the hikes (well worth it).
Enjoy the ride up the nice roads too :]

Maybe if you had more than a day, you'd be able to see
more of it's beauty. 1 day isn't enough. Hiking through is the way to go.
Or rent a hard cabin if that better suits your needs. 1 1/2 year wait list though...

nice car, simple yet clean. Yeah yosemite is a very nice place, did you do a day trip?. Is that mirror lake in the last pic? If it is, the hike is not worth it

Yeah, I'll do a multi-day trip sometime this summer or fall. I just said a "tad overrated" because well, I've been to other parks and was just as impressed. Maybe I just hyped Yosemite up too much.

</TD></TR></TABLE>I did a day thing. And yeah it's mirror lake, which is right next to the main village. The major hikes are 8+ hours long and supposedly you get amazing views of the valley and half dome and etc. Some of them go right next to waterfalls and are pretty steep from what I hear...

The main roads up to and around the park are amazing! Smooth and windy at times. There is a section up 120 that is _very_ steep and windy. Pretty fun. The last stretch of 120 is wide open smooth winding road with awesome scenery.
The roads at the park/ parking lots aren't very friendly though. But you should be able to navigate it fine.
Thanks for the
's and yeah justin I'm still planning on going to GC!
