Every ricer in my town does it that way. I've told a few of them how dangerous it is, no one seems to listen.

One day, one of them is gonna get in a wreck, snap a neck or back, then figure it out.

As much money is in the pictured hatch, a nice Autopower rollbar with harness bar would be an excellent (read:safe) investment...

Pretty much just got the car done, been working on it for 8 months or so. I'm planning a full 6pt cert. weld in cage so for now the harness thing is only temp. Don't trip I don't really drive it, VP C16 is so F'ing expensive and the 1200cc injectors don't help any!! LOL Pretty much just needs another tuning session (should be 600+), cage, and scattershield. Hoping to eventually see some good 10sec passes!!

I didn't relocate the batt! Just added the standoffs to make it easier to jump the car, like if its in a garage or a parking spot sometimes you can't get jumper cables to the front of the car so this helps me out!
