You need the keys to remove the radio... If you don't have the keys, and you can't get a set from a local shop, you will use the link posted above to disassemble the dash to remove the kit/radio assembly.

it's an alpine so you really shouldn't need any keys for it to come out. if you have a pick tool or even a precision screwdriver...that should do the trick.
start by removing the radio's faceplate
next at either side of the opening about halfway up where the faceplate was there should be a small circular piece of metal with a small dimple in the middle.
take your pick tool or mini screwdriver and push it upwards while GENTLY pulling on the main part of the radio.
repeat on other side...it should slide right out.

"it's an alpine so you really shouldn't need any keys for it to come out" Ah not so grasshoppa, the way to the light is with the keys.
In the never ending quest to fix things that work there are Alpine HU that you now need keys to release from the mounting sleeve/cage, the Alpine CDA-9855 is one of them, [do you think Alpine is "outsourcing"
]... http://vault.alpine-usa.com/pr...M.PDF page 44.
blackONblackHONDA Don't go and wreck moms good cutlery, but you might try a set of thin flat butter knives, if your careful you may be able to "pop" the unit free from the sleeve and do it without any damage.
Before you drive yourself to the point where you feel like sticking the butter knives into the face of the unit, do you know if the HU has a back support, [like it should], if so, your not going to release the unit from it's sleeve until the back support is "disconnected".
