Default picking which clutch kit????

Im almost done with the ls motor in my crx si. all i need is a clutch kit. Its pretty much stock except for i/h/e im going to keep it like this for a while. i was wondering what clutch kit should i buy. my buddys told me to buy the exedy stage 2 but its pretty high price. should i buy the oem clutch, stage 1 exedy, or save up to buy the stage 2? i have the funds to buy the stage 1 kit but how long will it last? its the stock motor and tranny. help...

If you like to race buy the exedy stage 2 for more gripping force, but if you just want it for normal driving buy the exedy stage 1, this can also be good for once and a while racing. they don't last that long if you race to much.

exedy/fidanza kit on ebay =
I believe I got mine for under $250, and is by far good enough for what you're using it for...

all the fidanza+exedy kits were around 300. Would you guys trust or recommend the ebay knock off such as xtd, f1, or xtr? If not im going to go with the exedy stage 1 organic.

both CM and excedy are good clutches, I'm running the organic excedy with my LS/b16 tranny and I do notice it slips sometimes. I've decided I'd rather have it slip then break axels, and or my tranny.

How old is the clutch?
Are you first driver of that clutch?
Was the clutch broken in properly, or just beat the **** out of right when the clutch was installed?
Or did you ever get told you were a bad driver??

I've had my clutch a few months now and I haven't noticed any slippage what so ever.. My friends Da is beat on every day with the same clutch setup and has no slippage at all either, and has been on the car for a few years I believe...

I personally would just go with the exedy/fidanza..For that price, you are getting a quality product which will last for a long time under the circumstances you are describing... <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bacnoonoi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i dont race much just every once and a while, i usully like to go at high rpms 1st- 3rd (5000)though???</TD></TR></TABLE>

Clutch has 10k on it and was broken in properly by me, and only used by me. There are many factors as to why mine slips, mainly due to other modification which I will not go into. Besides, if stage 1 was end all and be all clutch there wouldn't be other stages.
