Clunking sound under car goes away when turning.
I have a 94 4dr LS on tein basic full coil-overs ruding on 17" raze with potenza tires.
The car was driving fine before i went out of town for aweek. No one drove it and when i came back this problem started.
When i'm driving straight i hear a clunking sound coming from under the car around where the axles are. I can sometimes feel it with my feet while on the pedals but it is a very distinct noise. It's similar to the sound you hear when going over a bridge with connections every few yards, not sure how to explain it.
The sound goes away when i'm turning or evening switching lanes. Any move of the steering to the left or right and the "clunking" goes away. Any ideas what it coudl be?
Axles are bad? BTW the alignment and everythign is perfect and the car brakes and drives fine except for that noise.

Check the various suspension joints - I'm thinking for example the LCA ball joints - if you've got a loose castle nut on one of them, it could be bouncing around making noise. Also, you might have a worn out bushing somewhere...
