i need serious info! about a week ago i did an oil change on my 01 ls teg. i put quake 10w-30 full synthetic and an oil filter from the dealer. my usual 3k tune. anyway, (a week later) im on the freeway and im cruising at 65mph with rpm at about 2k when my car seemed like it hit a brick wall!! it was the scariest feeling ever. i try to re-simulate the situation. nothing happens. i was almost to my destination which was another 15 miles. then it happens again!! two times in a row this time. and then it hits again!

im not sure how this happened. i did say i spilled about a half quart of oil onto the valve cover.

what i didnt mention is that i DID check the spark plugs in the well to see if oil has reached the plugs. i also checked the wires on both ends to see if they were soiled with oil. the plug and wire closest to the cams were soiled up but they were cleaned and dried.

this buckling or surging keeps happening only on the freeway. i havent felt it on surface streets. im scared my teg might take a crap on me on the freeway.
