HOW CAN I RUN THE SAME POWER FROM THE HOUSE SO I COULD PLAY MY MUSIC IN THE CAR.
I GOT TWO AMPS ONE FOR THE SPEAKERS ONE FOR THE SUB, AND I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW COULD I PLAY MY MUSIC IN THE CAR WITHOUT USING THE CAR BATTERY???????????

I don't think you're old enough to drive yet...
You might kill yourself if you try it, but you could take an old electrical cord, strip the wires at the non-plug end of the insulation and attach the wires to your car battery. Plug it and see what blows up

I don't want to use the battery because when I have a party or something going on, i like to pop my trunk and play some music. The cars battery lasts for about 1 hour if i play it loud, so I start the car and the battery is being recharged, but then the car is running, and the gas is running to, so I thought maybe there is another way on how to run the power let's say from a house, I think there is some sort of converter, isn't there?
I don't think that you understand anything about electronics, therefore your comment was totally useless.

What you need is a power supply out of a computer, And just just it up to the amps, and it works extremely well. I did that when I was like 12. Running subs
and all decks at home.

You're probably thinking of a power inverter? I dont think I've ever seen anything that mimics a battery terminal or something along those lines.
The inverter is cigarette lighter to AC / wall outlets.
I dont think I've seen the opposite the closest would be a battery charger but I have HIGH doubts it'd provide the right power to the amp/subs continuously

I don't believe you need an inverter. Generally, an inverter in a car is used to power household items, such as a TV, blender, etc. that used DC power. A car's alternator generally produces AC power, so you need to invert the AC to DC, if you wanted to say power a household TV.
But, since you are trying to power the car's stereo and amps with household current, an AC adapter producing 12 volts DC should work, just have to get the right amps for the household AC adapter.

Your going to need an RV style power converter/charger.

A computer power supply will not work because the power on/off is controlled by the motherboard, and you would not have any regulation of the charge current.

USE VTEC!!! It works so well. Just keep on VTEC-ing so the alternator can charge your battery faster. =D
I think I know how. But I'm not sure. You can connect an secondary wire wire to the amps(tap it in). And connect that secondwire to an adapter. You need to find a high enough rating adapter (in Watts) to support your Amps and speaker. You could try finding in your house that uses a 12V and like really high watt output. I know you can put up some computer power supply. And just mod it to work with the amps. Computer PSU uses 12V and some PSU can support up to 1000 WATTS. Not sure if thats enough.
Have your party during the day. Use SOLAR!

lol, it probably would have to be a solar panel bigger than his home.

first of all your house either runs 110 or 220......totally unnecessary for a car amplifier.
i guess my question is.........
how big, in RMS wattage, is the amplifier your trying to push. Seriuosly if its less than 1000 i would highly doubt you would ever need to worry about loosing battery power even when the car is off. And if you were to run the amplifier with the car off i would suggest getting a capacitor. Not to mention that a capacitor would save you from replacing alternators all the time.
i think this thread belongs in GDD.
and why if your having parties at your house are you playing music from your car???? you ever here of a home entertainment system?
hahaha, xbox FTW!!! anyone get FORZA 2 yet????

There is a way to do it. But you may want to ask that question in the electronics fourm. There's an inverter that acts as an alternate power source so you are not running down your battery. I've seen them at car shows where the car was in a manufactures booth and needed to have continuous power running. Matter fact, I saw one used on Unique Whipps last night. Either the Nissan's or the FJ's they did had them installed.
Rather than use your car though, you should invest in a home stereo system. I'm sure your neighbors would appreciate that more than blasting your tunes into the wee hours of the morning.

You would need a huge power supply. If you're killing the battery within an hour, a computer power supply is not enough. It would be best to buy a high current 12v power supply (which will probably costs hundreds). Or you can do it the easy way and start the car once in a while. If this is only for one party, it's better to spend the money on gas than on a supply that you will only use once.
