Help Please! - Wheel-Fender Contact
Just bought a 2002 EX Coupe. Car came with Exel 17" wheels running 215/45ZR17 rubber. Problem is a nasty wheel-fender rub on the rear passenger side during left turns (Have not found any evidence on the other wheel wells. Pulled the wheel to make sure nothing was obviuosly broken. No apparent trouble. Tires appear to line up under all the fenders. Don't know if the wheels needed a higher offset, if the tires are just too damn big for the car or if the car was lowered and a higher spring would take care of it.
Question - how can I tell if the car has been lowered? Is there a key measurement I can check?
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

u should be able to tell by looking at the spring. Most aftermarket brands colour their springs differently. The only real hard brand to tell is H&R sports, as they are black like the stockers.
Snap a picture of your car and im sure we will be able to tell in a second.
As for the rubbing, 215/45/17 is a big tire, thats probably where your problem lies. If u get 205/40's im sure u will be fine.

you wont see it on the fender, you'll see a groove or mark in the tire.
rear passenger side could be a few things.
Lowering the car makes the exhaust want to lay on the sway bar. Compress it, it makes funny noises.
If the car is rubbing, you can either roll the fenders, raise the car up or adjust your camber so it doesnt clear. The wheel moves in an arc. Just because it looks like it clears when sitting still, doesnt mean it actually does clear.
