Critical Coniditon Prelude -Some advice
2 weeks ago I crashed my 96 Prelude into a concrete barrier going round a very sharp turn. The area which took the brunt of the damage was the front driver side right below the headlight. Upon impact ( around 40 mph ) the airbags deployed and most everything on the driver side was smashed, the headlight, bumper, hood, radiator support and so on.
After getting the car towed to my house I removed the driver side fender and the plastic guard underneath the the engine compartment ( sub-frame). Upon inspection I noticed front end was twisted out of shape. The front rail that holds the fender has a wrinkle in it also the sub-frame seems to be twisted slightly. The alternator and AC condensor? have both been dislocated but not to badly.
I found a JDM front clip near my house which includes the bumper, both fenders, headlights, radiator with support and the grill; all for under $500. My brother in law has a guy who straightens frames for $1000. Will the car ever be the same or am I throwing away my money.
Any advice would be most welcomed.

If your new clip is in reasonable shape and is square, why not just chop off your existing frame damage and weld up your new clip frame? Its the only permenant 100% fix
As for frame shops, there are good and bad, I would go and visit the shop if I were you. Do they have a frame rack? (looks like a gigantic welding table the car sits on with dim points?) Do they drill out spot welds before stretching, and reweld, or do they just take a BFH and start smacking stuff?

It will be fine as long as there was no movement where the suspension meets.
Other than that your okay and if repair is done proper it will/can be the same.

I'm interested in your el gauges and dash harness after the engine leaves the wrecked prelude.
