It's just a piece of **** Honda/Acura... And a '70 Hemi Cuda was just a piece of **** Plymouth 37 years ago. It takes a small fortune to get your hands on an original.
I guarantee you the cost of our caRs years from now will surprise you... There will NEVER be a wave of cars in the future that can match what the econobox tuner/sporty '90s cars offered. GTR Skyline, Supra, 3000GT, DSM, Type-R models, WRX, EVO, etc... This breed of car is dying off, and 30 years from now, we'll all be hard pressed to get our hands on one, let alone an original, unmolested one.
I think about the questions I used to bombard my father with when I was first getting into cars in my pre-teens... "Dad, you and your friends really had Mustangs that could lift the front wheels?!" "What was it like owning such a nice and rare car? Oh, they weren't rare or nice back then?"
And I can picture me telling my son the same thing... "**** man, when I was a kid, my friends and I all had Honda Civics, and DSMs, cars that you could buy stock from a grandma, throw a summers worth of paychecks into, and beat ANYTHING on the street, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Z06s, anything... It was a fun time... But the most fun car of all, was my Integra Type-R. Wish they weren't so damn expensive now, I paid $13,500 for mine in 2006, no way I'm spending $100,000 on a STOCK one now."
Like I said, you'll be surprised.

You know what just hit me. If thieves keep stealin' R's and make it even more rare. Lets say 30 years from now, a mint unmolested R reaches up to 100k. Would you be thankin' the thieves then? for increasing the value of it? lol, don't flame me, it's just a funny thought that crossed my mind. It's late and im tired. K time for bed.

i think because they are numbered cars, and the fact that they were made only for a couple of years. will keep the value going up. at least i hope. hope mine is worth a little more bc its a low number

Yes we'll all be thanking those selfless thieves for spending countless hours of difficult manual labor, stripping the parts and engines off of our beloved works of pride... you know the very vehicles we've all spent too much of our hard earned money on... the ones we've skinned knuckles working on... and cashed in favors to have friends help with repairs... Yes, let's all thank the thieves.

I can easily see them being in the 50's.... Because most of this generation will be financially well off by then (well some) and will pay a premium to get a chunk of their youth back.
What GO-FIGHT-KILL said EXACTLY!
As far as thievery...they are only accelerating the death of Rs. Given time, most will be driven to very high mileage and degrade based on wear and tear, and many will continue to be wrecked.
My bet is a clean, unmolested, original paintwork ITR will fetch over $100k easily in 20 years.

well i think the value's not gonna drop..
for example.. E30 M3's.. they don't go down too much lower than 20 Grand for a clean ones. but if there was a MINT clean, low low mileage E30 M3? would it worth alot of money? yes but nowhere close to be 100G
those are maybe more rare than the R.. if not just as rare
u sometimes find E36 M3's cheaper than E30 m3's
i know this is way off but. i saw a 91 mustang convertible with 5600 miles on it. it was going for 24000 CAD. i know mustang is not a limited production or anything but i know it's really really hard to find 91 with 5600miles anywhere in the world now.
and what are the chances that someone can have their hands on brand spanking new type R after 20-30 years from now?. then it might be like 50 G -80 G but.. who knows.
but let me tell you.. in 20-30 years from now.. i bet you won't even be able to drive the R on the street anymore..
watch.... all "Gas" powered cars are gonna be gone by then.. i'm sure u won't even find a gas station anymore.
everything's changing so fast now.

I know what you mean but that's next to impossible. Though everything NEW being produced will probably not run on gas. But the government just can't outlaw billions and billions of dollars worth of gasoline powered vehicles.

Probably $40K in 2027 dollars.... figure adjust for inflation it is probably about $15K in 2007 dollars....(I am no economist, just guessing).... basically what I am saying is that the price of a mint ITR may not depreciate, but it may not appreciate either.
Exactly, so the dollar amount of the car will be much greater in 2027, but pretty much worth the same damn thing. Good thinking David, that completely skipped my mind.

clean title.
all vin stickers on panels.
original, never hit.
unmolested.
low mileage (less than 10,000k miles or 10,000 kms)
window sticker.
original armrest badge.
all books.
i'd pay $30,000 today... but i have no money or a place to put it.
but in 20 years, i think something i described above would fetch 50k easily.
