Should i buy it?
I am new to acura cars. It is a 1995 with 100,000 miles. It is in great condition cosmetically and seems to be in good condition mechanically. I am planning to have my mechanic look at it before i buy it. It has a header and cold air intake. It is priced at 5,000. It does have a dent in the driver side fender and it is an automatic.
Should i buy it?
How much would it cost to convert the transmission?

if you want a manual transmission you might as well find a manual. i'm assuming its an LS. if you want the full idea of what honda is all about get a gsr. but changing the transmission is a lot of work. i heard adding the clutch pedal is the biggest problem. i haven't done it, but it is some work. i think you would be really happy if you could find yourself a gsr, but, if your limit is only 5k then an LS is still a nice fun car, and you can always add vtec later. anywho, like i said above, if you want a manual tranny, then find a car with it, cuz it's not the easiest thing to do.

Some info on the auto to manual conversion. Good luck and do your research on it so you know exactly what your buying

if it has vtec then someone has done some work on that car. Vtec integras don't come with automatic transmissions. the transmission doesn't add power. it just gives u the potential to have more control of the car, thus decreasing times such as quarter mile.

honestly... no. because if they told u it has vtec then they were lieing most likely. i don't think it's easy to hook up an automatic B series transmission to a vtec motor unless it's the auto gsr transmission straight from japan. and doing a manual swap is a lot of work anyway. depends if u wanna have fun or not. manual = fun, automatic = comfortable normal ride. personally, every now and then, i'd like to have an auto, like when i'm stuck in traffic... but the manual is always fun here and there. but yeah, anyway. if u want a manual, i'd find another.
I say pass on it. If you buy an automatic, I'm sure you'll regret it.
Also, I know that this is somewhat irrelevant, but I found my 95 LS 5spd with 84k for $4700 over three years ago. There are probably better deals out there, not to mention better unmolested cars.
Good luck.
