Default Nitrous plug gap

Im going to be running a wet 75 shot. What gap would you go with ? Im running autolite 5224 and will be cutting the electrode (rocket plugs).

i wouldnt use autolite plugs... i would get NGK, ZEX, or Nology plugs and make sure they are at least one heat range colder.
Then I would use whatever the stock gap is on the stock plugs.

whats wrong with the autolite plugs ? Supposedly modded they make more power. Or are you saying just because of the nitrous and not that they are shitty plugs ?

just because of the nitrous... you need colder plugs with a stronger spark to run nitrous

Yeah go with the NGKs 2 step colder. You dont want anything igniting faster than normal with nitrous.

i just put a 60 shot on my car...just go with some ZFR7F-11 which are 1 step colder than stock, and you should be fine.

what size jets are you using to achieve your 75 shot????

With a 75 shot I wouldn't bother with 2 step colder plugs as they will interfere with your Non Nitrous performance. I was running 1 step colder NGKs with my 60-80 shot and then happened to find some 2 step colder Bosch plugs that I use only when spraying the 100 shot at the strip when I have no intention of running N/A.
As far as trying to gain power from Plugs?!?! Why bother when youre using Nitrous?
I would talk to Rocket about using them with nitrous.
IIRC I gap my Nitrous plugs at .34 a little tighter than stock as the Boost guys do, but not quite as tight.
Just be sure to check your plugs very often......they will tell you whats going on with your setup. It worked for Muscle Car guys 40yrs ago and it works for us too.
Have fun!
I hope youre not running a BASIC NOS kit.....the solenoids suck.
I also recommend starting off with a 50 shot so you can learn how to use it safely.
Let me know if you have any questions....I have gone through more giggle gas than I can remember with great results.
13.3@108 on DRs if you don't have SIGs turned on....

2 steps colder are you on crack?

go 1 step colder and run a gap starting at .35 ,if you start missing while spraying then close the gap.

you want as big of a surface area of spark without getting blown out.

well the compression of this setup will actually be around 11.6:1 so maybe 2 heat ranges would be a good idea ???

I am not an nitrous expert, but what i do know is, I am runing 11 psi,, which is giving me much more heat than a 75 shot of nitrous might. When I read my plugs they are actaully border line almost too cold, and i am only 1 step colder than stock. with your nitrous setup you will be making less power, 1 step should be just fine. Agian let me state im not an nitrous expert, but as far as my common knowlege tells me, 2 steps for your app is tooo cold.
