I bought a new one but I'd rather look like an idiot by asking a silly question rather than break my shifter. Can somone briefly tell me what the procedure is?

 

The shift boot should unclip form the **** at the chrome ring, and then you can simply unscrew it.

 

I'll assume its the same complicated procedure as any other integra.

1. Open door (either side will do)
2. Sit into car (either seat will do)
3. Grab shiftknob with hand (closest one is usually best)
4. Twist anti-clockwise
5. Stop twisting/screwing when its off.
6. Screw on new shift ****.

 

If they are like the 00-01 shift *****, there is a bolt on the bottom of the shift ****. Just grab an adjustable or the properly sized wrench and loosen the nut. Then twist off the shift ****.

no they are diffrent from the US models at the base where it meets the shifter boot you will feel two plastic clips press inwards and it will release from the boot then unscrew
