Hf rack housing will work also for the quaife rack and pinion- Id have to say it's one of the best investments in my car.

the DX rack fits on the Si chassis. DX and Si racks are different but are interchangeable.
endyn is a hack who couldnt figure out that the quaife unit was made for the DX rack and went about the dumbass way of "modifying" an Si rack to fit.

i agree, its just a rack end bushing and maybe the pinion bearing that could possibly be "rebuilt" on a manual rack itself. also the gearbox adjustment can be played around with too.
btw, something to check out in steering play is the pinch bolt at the Ujoint/pinion at the bottom of the steering column.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I just replaced the bushing this weekend and it was very easy to do. I had the bushing out in about 5 minutes. I purchased the rack used with the subframe still attached and it was very easy to get out. If anyone has any questions about it, let me know.

yes, if the rack is out of the car, its very easy.
which is why i suggest ppl to take the time to remove the rack completely instead of trying to work on it under the car.
