If you can't find any you like, build your own... Cost me about $250 in supplies and total of about 40 hours labor... and lots of itching

Mine was a pretty simple process... clean and wax the front clip of my daily crx, tape all the gaps shut, spray on a coat of pva (mold release agent), then start rolling on resin and applying huge sheets of fiberglass matte (3 layers, 5 layers around perimeter). then pop if off, finish it out with a thin coat of body filler, finish sand, prime, block sand, seal and paint... thats the gist of it

no, not even close, thanks though! just took a fiberglass and composite part repair class when I was in collision/refinishing school. They teach you how to make a 12"x12" part out of fiberglass, if you can do that you can do just about anything with glass....

BTW that front lower lip molded in is the mold of a upper front bumper trim peice from a '99 ford explorer... upside down haha

Have you weighed it to see what kinda #age it has. That is unbelivable for never having done one before. You might just have yourself a profession there!

That is definately amazing looking work, do you have any pics of it with the headlights in? I'm curous what it looks like.

P.S. Damn that fiberglass itching If it weren't for that I'd probably do more than ONLY what I absolutely have to with fiberglass...

Looks a lot better with the lights and intercooler
I separated the lense from the housing and sprayed them silver from the backside... kitty-haired them in. Oh, and some stick on pinstripes for a simulated gap, gotta try to keep attention down, this car actually gets driven to and from the track like this

That is some seriously intense fabrication skills there! I can't stop drooling. for the pinstripe simulation. What kinda times does it run?

I have a mold that I made off of a modified mb products 10" over . It is now 6 1/2" over. It was made from a used a piece and so the parts look it. I also have doors and hatch molds for a crx made the same way. I couldn't find parts either so I borrowed parts from friends to make molds to make parts for myself. I have some parts for sale on e-bay and I am only trying to make my money back for the molds. If any one interested let me know e-mail me at ij4kids@sbcglobal.net Hope I can help a few guys build their race car.

THAT is AWESOME!!! lol
I'd sneak a corner light lens in there too done just like the headlight. Complete the look.
Acctually if it were me I'd probably go nuts and cut a corner light lens so the white marker light part was just the lens and painted silver like the headlights but the amber part worked along with a pair of working bumper lenses. To me having the car acctually act stock during the day would be worth the weight of a handfull of plastic pieces. Meh, I dono, but it's definately awesome how it is.

I've been meaning to airbrush the corner lights on, theres just always something else to do on the car... I even have all the paint to do it (fine silver, bright white, black, and candy amber) maybe I'll do it when I get around to pulling the tarp off it this year.
