Default City light bulb?

So i installed jdm head lights with the city lights in my 95 ex and purchased the normal amber 194 bulb but it is quiet dim. So the question is: Are there any other lights that give a brighter output but still fit in the socket?

for the city lights doubtfully. theyre really used as sidemarker bulbs in most cars. you could try finding a higher wattage bulb but i dont think there is any b/c of the use of it. but then youd have to worry about youre wires bight able to handle more wattage. id say the only way to make the brighter is a clear or blueish bulb but that kinda ruins the idea of the jdm lights. so i guess good luck.

Don't use an amber bulb. Use a clear bulb for more light output.

amber is a jdm look. id do amber and sacrifce light to be jdm. the city light is intended for the day time. not a night time driving light.

you couldn't be more incorrect, the stock city light bulbs are white, and they are used at night time, not day time running lights

That about sums it up.

Just use a standard, clear 5 watt wedge bulb such as a 194/168.

well, considering city lights are there to only light up the housing, not project light, output really doesn't matter, as long as it lights up the housing

i took the three wires form the fatory harness and cut them and ran i believe it was the red/striped wire to the city light as that was the parking light in the usdm assembly and the ran i believe it was the green/striped wire to the turn signal socket. Then used the common ground for both wires.. Works perfect
