B16 CUTS OUT BAD AT 7000 RPM'S PLEASE HELP
ALRIGHTY I WAS GOING TO BUY A 1991 HATCH WITH A B16A IN IT
BUT I TEST DROVE IT AND IT WAS NICE AND STRONG TILL 7000 RPM'S THEN ITY CUTS OUT AND DOES NOT EVEN PULL AFTER THAT AND IT DOES NOT FEEL OR SOUN D LIKE VTEC IS KICKIN IN AT ALOL IT IS A CLEAN SWAP AND RUNS GREAT PLEASE HELP ME I WANT THIS CAR BUT IF IT IS A BIG PROBLEM I DONT WANT IT SO PLEASE HELP ME THANKS EVERYONE

search all of the "why isnt my vtec kickin' in yo" threads and find out why not.
first thing to check is the oil level. 8 out of 10 times, that is the problem.

forget about the b16 dude, you'll never figure out how to fix it if you cant figure out a computer mouses buttons or caps lock for that matter.

Does it hit the rev limiter?
Maybe it has an automatic B16 ECU. Those have a lower rev limit than the manual ones. Pull off the cover of the ECU and look for the "AT" or "MT" stamp.

Was the engine warmed up, VTEC wont engage unless the motor is warmed up, and the car will usually 'bog' around 7000 rpm. It's the same feeling of a newer car under traction control. Good luck
