Where I work, I see ALOT of riders sporting the "Mohawk" helmets. I'm just wondering if anyone here actually has one. And for what reason. I get a kick out of it everytime I see one.

I have no idea why people rock them, its kind of like putting altezza's on your moms windstar, to me being a frequent rider/motorcycle mechanic.

LOL! Yeah, the broom end one's. So far, I've counted around 15 riders within a 1x1 sq. mile radious.

my brother and I both sport the mohawk, just to give kicks to people seeing us ride ! Plus they're hella cheap so why not !?!

i think that's the reason most people do it, to get that attention.

One of my 3 helmets i have. It was the first helmet i got, and its a beat helmet...so i threw a hawk on there. It gets lots of attention.

When on the strip in the middle of the summer and everybody asks me why i'm riding with a helmet on and i point to the mohawk and then to the bitches, they understand the idea.

 

So is it glued on? Drilled into or what? I would think that it would blow off at freeway speeds...*shrug*.

Originally it came with suction cups...it wouldn't go anywhere but sometimes the back cup would come off and it would flap...and it stuck up and looked more dumber than what it does, lol...i cut the suction cups off and gorilla glued it to the helmet...a lot sweeter lol.
