Default car smokes when starting

I was wondering what would cause a car to smoke when starting up, but not when running? I have a 94' EX with 200K that loses about a quart of oil inbetween oil changes. It doesnt leak any oil that I can tell so it must all be getting burnt. But it doesnt smoke any at all while driving that I noticed, just puffs a little blue smoke out when I start it up.

What do you think is causing it to smoke? Can I do anything to make it stop or atleast slow down how much oil it loses? I would love to be able to go a whole oil change without worrying about adding more.
