how to take molding off
Well, I'm trying to remember if the ones on a civic are the same/similar to a crx, but I just replaced my doors, last weekend, and here's how it worked for me...the only one I really removed was the one on the bottom of the door, if you look underneath the door, there are clips holding it on, undo all of them and gently, but firmly, push up on the piece, it should pop of a metal piece that is attached to the door, but beware, getting it lined back up and positioned right is kind of a bitch...as for the ones in the middle of the door, I have no idea, I had to pull one off, and couldn't figure out how to unclip it...so it's kinda fuct right now, I think I'm gonna have to bust out some 3M double sided tape...hope this helps man...
...on a hatch, you have to take the interior door panel off...then you'll be able to access the clips and take the molding off w/o breaking those clips...they're like $3 from honda
i was just going to post the same question but found this thread thought i might ask a few questions. mine is a 91 hatchy and i wanna paint ALL the side mouldings not just the ones on the door. now how do i take off the ones thats not on the door??
