my son has a 93 del sol D16Z6 we've replaced, prior to the new engine i noticed a D15 on the distributor cap put there by a junk yard with a yellow paint pen.
i've replaced the water pump, idler pulley, timing belt. cam gear with an AEM 23-800.
the timing marks all line up TDC on the cam gear and the crank installed the jumper by the ecu and go to set timing but the distributor will not move far enough to hit 16 BTC.
i guess i'm wondering if the D15 distributor is phased different than a D16Z6 any help would be helpful..

 

wrong dizzy i bet you a 100 bucks that dizzy is from a d15b7 d15b8 or a d15b1

and not from the jdm d15b that is similar to your sons motor, go ahead and go get a 92-95 civic ex si dizzy i belive your timing issues will be solved,
