Default i rode my first SV650 and put my bike up for sale

so i was looking around today and found a SV650S for sale. its a 03' with 3200miles 100% stock but has been dropped. the only damage i found was the right bar end, frame slider, rear brake lever is bent. i knew the suspention was soft but i was shocked at how soft they were. the guy is asking for $4500 which kinda makes me wanna laugh. blue book says its worth 4K. im thinking about offering 3500 but im not sure hes going to take that low. oh and the color is the bronz-ish one. well after taking it for a ride, i decided to put my bike up for sale. as soon as it does that SV is mine!

I wouldn't pay 4500 for it not dropped. Take 3500 cash, say no disrespect but this is how much the bike is worth to me. If he gets mad or doesn't except tell him thanks for showing it to you and call you if he changes his mind. A bike is worth however much someone is willing to pay, not how much the owner says it is worth to him.

minor damage on a late model bike is cause to chop off a couple of hundred bucks. not add 700 bucks to the price

3500 might offend him, but it's his fault for being unrealistic.

I sold an '04 SV650 (standard version) in 2005 for $4600, and it was MINT.

yeah that was 2 years ago, when it was a year old. this is an '03, in '07 and it's been down. you better get a rub and a tug with that thing for $4500

Is there any particular reason you want that SV650? If you know what they're worth, you can take your time looking for one. I know summer's coming and there's a rush...bike's are more expensive...blah blah blah. But coming from experience, I've rushed into buying vehicles that I later regretted. Word to the wise

i think $3500 is a really realistic price. if he doesnt bite then wait a couple weeks, no one will buy a downed sv for 4500.

btw, i have an 03 naked and i love it!

I'd offer him 3700. It sounds like a lot more money than 3500, he just might bite.

i want an SV650 cuz i want a track bike. I already plan to change out the rear shock the front end with the GSXR and just about everything else i can dream of. im in the air force and im moving to the UK in about a month. the AF will ship my bike over with all my other "household goods". I want the bike. and as yo said, a bike is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. i would happily pay 4K for the bike because i want one so bad and if that all it costs me then so be it. but, i wont because as the guy said, he will go as low as $4000 but if you bring some cash then we'll talk!

If youre moving the the UK then why not just wait till you get there and buy something else? They have some awesome bikes in europe. If I ever move to europe I'm definately buying myself a vfr400, until then it's just a wet dream.
