Showa is the OEM shock/strut manufacturer for many Hondas. Some models use KYBs also. Mugen works with showa for their NZ coilovers I believe. Mugen specifies the valving and Showa manufactures them to OEM spec with the Mugen-specific damping rates. The Mugen coilovers made by Showa probably won't be adjustable (99% sure that they are not damping adjustable). I'm sure they are stiff and they are probably very good for motorsports of any type. I've driven Mugen NZ(?) Coilovers on a RSX-S and loved them on a Auto-X course, not sure about street driving though.

I believe Showa is actually own by Honda. BAR-Honda used to run Koni, when they were bought by Honda, Honda also bring their subsidiary, Showa to supply the shocks.
