Default Mugen Showa Struts

Anyone have any experience with Mugen Showa Shocks/Struts? I'm thinking about getting some for my EG Hatch, which is just my daily, any thoughts?

The Mugen/Spoon showa setup are very good choices if u use your car for DD/autocross & HPDE occasionally. The ride height may not be perfect for a lot of people. Some people may think it sits way too high. But it doesn't mean the car will handle better after u slam it.

I prefer using these damper kit then buying coilovers simply because of the great valving Showa offer. It's firm, stable & not bouncy. Which gives me more fun & confidence around the corners especially when it gets a little bumpy around the corners. Coilovers are too stiff for DD & IMO u can't use the full potential of the setup unless u do a very nice corner balancing & alignment setup for your car. So I strongly recommend the Mugen(showa)damper set to u coz they've provide hydraulic products to Honda for many many years already. I'm pretty sure that they know about Honda better than the other suspension manufacturer.

i bought a set for $350 (not even kidding) from some guy who told me he had them on his SI. (realizing they didn't fit his car he tried to dump his "garbage" on me since i had an ek too.) being smart i bought the full setup.

part...

5-Way Adjustable Suspension Kit. EG/DC. [50000-XG9R-K1S0]
Civic (1992-1995) Requires Type R LCA
Del Sol (1993-1997) Requires Type R LCA
Integra (1994-2001) Requires Type R LCA

sells for $1800

put them on my nephews GSR, rides like a dream if stiff is what you like. i believe that if your gonna use them then you MUST use the ITR rear control arm.

on the softest setting it still rides very stiff. You soon learn to love the softest setting.
The stiffest setting rides like telephone poles. Not that it's a bad thing, just not a daily driver thing.

ride height is about 2.5 finger gap all around.

Anyone have experience with these specific ones? Also, those who have some experience would you recommend these or Skunk 2, FF, ETC?
