Default Squeaky belt...

Since I've gotten turbo a while after (I have 40k now) one of my belts is squeaky.... After driving when idling to cool down it squeaks, and while driving I've heard it squeak LOUD as hell driving next to a median in the left lane....

I'm assuming its the alternator belt because in order for it to be power steering or AC wouldn't I have to be turning the wheel or have the AC on?

Anyone ever change their alt belt... I have a helms, but wondered if anyones experience could tell me what to expect and tools I'd need?

changin the other belts, such as AC and alternator belt is not so hard. changin the timing belt is a pain in the ***. are your belts dirty? maybe you should spray it down with some chemtool or alcohol aerosol. if it still makes sqeaks... maybe you might need to adjust it.

Can you spray the chem tool or alcohol spray while the belt is still on the motor?

yup... it evaporates form the belt leavin it free of oil and other fluids. it works as a degreaser.

A squeaky belt is due to improper tension...the "anti-squeak" will get rid of the squeak, but you will still have improper tension.

Its pretty self-explanatory...I dont even remember how it was before the SC, but a quick re-tension should fix the problem.

It can be any of them. When I was in your situation, my A/C belt was loose. For a quick and simple test, just press down on all of them with your finger. Whichever one feels loose is the culprit.

Good luck!
