EG lock question...
I just replaced the little piece that says lock in the interior, and I can not use it unless the door is shut(ie. lock myself in the car)
I was wondering if it was so you can;t lock your keys in your car or is a malfunction of the lock?
THanks
Stephen

I know my Integra had this feature, and I'm pretty certain that our EM1 did too, so I assume it was the same for the 5th gen. Civics. As you guessed, it's intended to help prevent you from accidentally locking your keys in the car. If you want to lock the door while it's open, just pull on the interior release handle while moving the lock, and it will work.

What can I do to adjust the locks in my car so that they open automatically when pulling the handle?
