Default DC5 purchase, sound like a good idea?

Okay, so here's the background... I own a 2000 ITR with tons and tons of goodies, clean title.... high miles, hate to daily drive..... I make great money, however I hate to waste it... None the less I don't want to buy a beater, I want to spend my money on something I can drive to work every day and take trips to the beach.... I also would like something that is fun to drive so I'm not tempted to take the R everywhere.

I was about to sell the R and get a E46 M3, however it has too much sentimental value and my girlfriend said she'd cut my dick off... I like to pee and sex is pretty cool so I want to keep the R, yet still get something that is relatively new and fun to drive.

There's a 06 RSX-S at a semi-local dealer, with 13k miles, I fanangled them down to 19,999k..... I haven't got the chance to drive it yet though, I probably will tuesday. It seems as if it's the only platform that I would find fun to drive, and a semi close comparison performance wise to the R with a little more luxury (leather, moonroof, 6speed)

Granted the R is financed and so would this, roughly putting my monthly car payments close to $800 and insurance at another $100.... This would be the same as a E46 M3..... To be honest, I'm not even sure what I'm asking... I just want reassurance that I'm not going to regret this purchase 2 years down the road.

i don't think that that is a conversion
i'm assuming that its rhd as well?

anyways, rsx is a great car
but with the si out now
why not look into the new si?
basically the same car and for only 1 grand more you'll be getting a brand new car

my brother also has a 2000 itr with a jdm front end conversion and i have a DC5 but his daily driver is an ep3 he likes driving my car around for the luxury but loves the ep because its comfortable and has a nice back seat and the front seats are like 1000 times more comfortable than my stock seats but either way if your not planing to put people in the back seat the DC5 is a good choice. i actually need to buy a daily driver myself within the next couple on months and i plan on buying a DC2

i would say don't put yourself into a financial strain. Get the car when you want later down the road. It's not going anywhere.
i love my DC5

I bought it, it's pretty fun... I enjoy driving it, real quiet and smooth... not really the same experience as driving the R, but it'll make a killer DD.

Actually on first drive I was wondering what all the hype was about... the dealer must of had 87 in it...... I ran it empty and put 93 in it and it moves... I love it.

I'll probably end up selling my R now.

If you sell that R Steve, I may have to slap you June 24th.

I doubt I will.... here's the dillemma... I owe a little cash on the R still... I still haven't bought a house... It's not that it's financially unfeesable, but lenders won't like that I have two open auto loans.. looks bad for a single person trying to buy a 200k+ home...... So i'm going to probably apartment dwell for the next year and try to get it completely paid off.
