the H22 is offered in both japan and america, it really depends on what is needed in the rebuild for example if you just blew the rings might as well just rering and go

but if your f22b1 block has a hole in it might as well swap to the h22, you cannot use the H22 with ATTS tho

It's a pretty common swap and fairly straight forward. You can even use your existing transmission if you want to save a few bucks. Off the top of my head you can probably source an H22 for about $1500 and the ECU for another $100 to $200. Just have to look around. Good luck!

Oh yeah and before somone else says it, it's Vtec.

Might just be a head gasket. How does the car run ?

pretty common problem with blown head gaskets. It could be a crack, but the gasket is usually the culprit. for a low-buck job you might even get away with pulling the head, getting it milled and re-gasket the thing.

I will almost garuantee its a blow HG. And do what jlhansen said, get your head milled and buy a new HG set.

If you dont get your head milled it ould be a waste of money and time. Just rember to do it right the first time.

Id also advise you change your valve stem seals and if you havent changed your water pump, to do so. Valve stem seals are cheap but the WP could set you back a bill and a half.

If your Accord is 200K too old, then that means...what? That you have about 1,000,000 miles on it total?

The P13 is the stock ecu for the H22.

I think stock hardness will do just fine. No need to go with harder wires.

No they are not. My ex has a f22b1, while my sisters lx has an f22b2. The f22b2 doesnt have Vtec. Btw I have a 1995 accord and my sister has a 1994.

rofl,

use accord hardness and modify it, much easier than trying to use h22 hardness

Who said you couldn't?

If you use the Accord tranny, you will drop out of Vtec inbetween shifts

Most people swap a 5spd because they enjoy driving it, I know qutie a few with an auto h22 swapped in

This car was sold just the other day. Close to 300,000 miles and never been taken apart at all. It was not exactly what you'd call babied.

Before it began its track career, it was a NoVA-DC commuter. That was probably worse than racing.
