Default B7 Rods?

Hi,

I'm going to build a turbo Mini me (b7/y8). I'm hoping for ~210hp. The botom end I have in now is old and worn 230k miles. I know the rods are pencils and the piston rings need to be replaced anyways. Are there any oem rods that I can use that would be stronger than the b7's. In addition are there any oem pistons that will lower my CR to ~9:1, yet still be strong. I know that if I really want to build it go with eagle or TT rods, but I dont want to drop $700 or wait several months.

You're going to have to get SCAT or Eagle, TT has discontinued their sale of D-Series TT rods. Their manufacturer isn't making them anymore.

I have yet to do the Mini me swap, but I am rethinking doing the swap and replacing the rods in favor of just a D16y8 or Z6 swap.

Do you think finicialy this is worth it? How strong are the d16 rods?

you can run LS rods, but you have to make a new spacer/fitting in the wristpin hole for the rod
