well it seems it was a lot of huff about nuthing.....here is the last 2 days action guys...
I tried Mulacs EF9 ecu and it has the identical serial number codes... PR3 J00 and when I went to start I noticed a small flash, but then no others as a code. Tried mine again and got the same thing, so there is life, just not as I was looking for, thinking it should be throwing a code (was throwing 8 flashes, now nothing) even when I pulled out the Dissy leads, to try cause a fault
This is ******* horrible, I tried checking the injectors last night, this seems to be where my problem lies, there is fuel going into the rail, and looks to be going down the return line (altho I will check that tonight, with a tin can and turn over, see if there is a flow or blockage) but when I crank for a while, I am not getting an unburnt fuel smell or anything, so my guess is its not getting into the chamber, which i checked last night and I can see down into the inlet ports.
I have pulled out my injectors but still got the fuel rail hooked up with plugs, I am going to try crank over to see if my 4 little Fuel *****'s are coming or not..but I tried for short time yesterday, couldnt see much, should I be able to see the fuel mist? I am running ZC injectors for now, had B16a2 injectors with modified plugs, the B16a1 injectors got dropped and damaged, but neither the gen 2 or the zc injectors are any different results. I have tried both the DA6 resistor box and the ZC resistor box. They do sem to be pulsing....are the wired backwards?
The ECU's are not throwing anycodes, and there appears to be ample spark, but I have got rid of my new leads and gone back to standard just to eliminate any doubts, as the DA did not have the new leads on it.
Doesnt the spark from an iridium plug look pretty and blue? I have rigged up a test bench on the engine, with an earthed wire to wrap around the plugs, and all leads seem to be sparking ok.
I did take out teh dissy and check inside it, now I am not sure if i put it back the right way, I will have to do the screwdriver TDC trick on number 1 cylinder
I have not checked the fuses in the whole vehicle yet, and I did turn on my hazards, which are working (thats the ECU fuse, rights?? or different on the non vtec car?)
I have however put in both axels, the right side proving a pain, but just need to get the bottom arm back into the subframe near the P/S, I got fed up at 3am and went to bed.
The front shocks are out and ready to have new springs put in.
My modified DA shift linkage works a charm, as does my clutch, all gears seem to be there, although its a little notchy, I am sure its due to me over tightening something.
I resprayed my factory brakes in satan black, they had red overspray from when I freshened up the old SSR 14" wheels (remember them kiddies?)
clutch feels nice, like warm apple......... oh wait
yep, I am working everyday too, but stuff must be done to get this thing happening...bloody hell 3am!
can anybody see something i cant?
Thanks for all ya help guys, but each day my heart hurts a little more coz I am not VtaxXing
