Default New Engine....waiting for star up

Alright so I just put a lot of money into my b series. I put it in myslef and wired everything up but before I could start em up I had to leave to go to Iraq, were I am right now. How long before corrosion starts becoming a factor on the rings. I put 4 quarts of oil in just to be safe and not have the oil pan start corroding.
Should I do anything before my intial to prevent the rings from scratching my sleeves for months of just sitting.

The engine is in the car all the spark plug are in and caps everything is installed so there is no ambient air getting to it

I will be gone for 6months so I have about 4 left.

When you get home, disconnect your fuel injectors and distributor.

Start car over a few times to prime up oil and get oil squirted over everything. Hook everything back up and start.

I would be more worried about the condition of your gas. Should have put some stabalizer in it before you left.

Start it up and let it idle or drive the gas out of it until empty and then refill with good stuff.

Good luck and make it back safe.

It should. My 92 cx hatch has one. I have seen them on some but not all.
