okay i have a b16a with a chipped sk2 p28... also short ram intake with long tube header. 2.5 piping... and getting about 18 mpg... wtf? anyone know what the cause of bad mpg are? oh yeah my aem fpr is at 40lbs.

 

actually its about 12mpg... really frustrating... when i was boosting on my old motor it didnt even take that much gas. any ideas?

 

give symptoms. . ie poor accel, dtcs,etc.

actually the response from the motor is fine... although i do have a problem with moisture build up in my exhaust piping, also a little smoke... grey?

 

when did you install the sk2 chipp and was the chip from ebay?

 

i didnt install the chip. the shop who did my motor swap for me chipped my ecu as per the deal. that was about sometime in Feb this year

waitin for respnse but if so we got a winner. and ur burnin oil do a comp check.

was the car always running bad mpg since you swaped it or did it just randomly started happening?

 

i havent really noticed until after a month... i was used to pumping that much, my other car was a v6 and when i got the sol i slapped a turbo on it. until i realized why i got the current motor to be a little more fuel efficient.

not too sure where the source of the chip was from

do you recomend just getting a p30 and run that?

 

yes get the p30 and see if it changes anything. which i'm pretty sure it will.

 

haha dang another thing to add on to list of many things to get for the car. should have just left it stock but then what would i do with my spare time. lol

need to get one of those comp testers also... WOOOoOOoO!! lol

if ur buddys have a p30 then run it but ask the shop where they got this chip and if the know hat the test vehicle was. and do a comp test too.

 

my buddies are dubbers... sigh... used to be one.. so no p30 around my ring of friends... and the comp test, do you know where to get one of those things?

welcome to the good side life is easier over here i have some buds into vws. comp testers i think even walmart sells em

 

yeah i love hondas so easy to repair replace not to mention cheap... vdubs man, enough said. lol

thanks again ill have to wait a while on getting the comp tester and the p30 short on funds at the moment but thanks for the ideas!
