We just had our round 2 MWHC at Putnam. It was a great weekend. Weather was perfect. I uploaded the video and instead of boring you with the whole 1hr+ of in-car, I clipped one fast lap out from the qualifying session:

That third picture...is it the angle of the shot? Looks like the *** end was stepping out a little bit.

 

Also, nice video. Thanks for sharing. I'm a space cadet. I just realized in your video that your car is RHD. Where have I been...I don't know. Not paying attention I suppose.

That last right hander before the straight is one long sweeper. Looks a little deceiving to the novice I bet. As if you have to commit yourself to the wider line. How long is that track?

The last 2 corners are definitely tricky (T9 and T10), mainly because at T9, right around apex the pavement has a big dip (or bump) so we couldn't really turn all the way to the apex. At T10 there were so much debris on the pavement that made it very slippery -- you could see the condition at T10 on the 4th pic above.

The track is 1.77 miles and it's very fast. For comparison purposes, times were around 1:20-1:30 while Gingerman is longer at 1.88, the times were around 1:30-1:40.

This is a great track with tons of runoff. The bleachers by the main straight can see 95% of the track with little to no obstruction from the trees. It would be very ideal for Expo but it is just almost impossible to get dates there....

That's just the way Shibas are. We don't really use anything special to wash him.

Yeah Chris sold his turblo ITR and now racing the Prelude in H1. That thing is fast, makes a lot of power and is ghetto!
