When is a good time to do a valve adjustment? I'm at 8500 miles, and the service manual is saying that almost everything should be checked and possibly adjusted around this point, but its not showing anything about the valves. I did a search and couldnt come up with much.

 

If you have a manual can't you just read the maintenance schedule and look ahead to where it says to do a valve adjustment?
I took my F4i to 11k miles without checking the valves. My RC51 had 18k miles with no valve adjustment. The previous owner checked em out at 12k and said they were fine.
Most likely your F4i is also fine.

 

Yah the maintenance schedual is right in front of my face. Lke I already said it's not showing anything about a valve adjustment. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. The only reason i even asked is because the dealership that just mounted my tires told me its getting close to time where i should check the valves them and adjsut them if needed.

 

Checking your valves and adjusting them are different. The service manual probably recommends checking them to see if they are out of whack - it's a preventative measure. You most likely won't need to adjust them until at least 25k.
