I know a lot of you guys dont drag race your R's, but do any of you know what the quickest ET and the highest Trap for a Type R?

i knew i wasn't going to get a serious answer in the type R forum.

 

There is a SFWD ITR in NorCal. I forgot his times but I think in the 10's.

do you know if its low or high tens?

 

dude, it doesn't even matter if it's a itr or not when it's a stripped integra with a fullybuilt monster engine that can't even run for 10 min w/o over heating.

That is a silly and unwarranted comment

Mine was 500whp and I never had a problem with it over heating. I took it on six hour road trips.

i think what he was trying to convey is that does it really matter what the worlds fastest integra type r is bescaus when its that much of a race car type r is only gonna be a sticker on the qtr panel. your old full race setup was fat but he is talking about fully done up 1/4 mile race cars, not cars driven on the street.

i also think this is the point he was making

it was a little bit of a harsh way to say it

but essentially when its quarter mile racing, all of the preparation thats gone into making a Type-R special becomes pointless. a fully built monster in even the most lowly civic hatch shell is going to be as fast as a fully built monster in a Type-R shell

different performance discipline requires different preparation

ahaha...thanks for the chuckle Nothing you can't throw a check book at eh? Also, it only blew up once...because my waste gate was sucking *****.

Well regardless if it maybe coming down to a sticker on the 1/4 panel, the ITR guys and this forum are all about technicalities no?

My friend has a 700whp Civic hatchback... He's never had a problem with overheating, he drives it to Wilmington (Hour and a half trip there and back, not to mention driving around Wilmington for a few hours) on a weekly basis, on the only problem he's had, was breaking the shifter at the track.
