Default Re-applying Clear on Valve Cover?

Can I go re-apply clear even after its been driven on for like 10 minutes and I think it was about 2-3 days ago. Anything special I need to do?

Clean it off with a wet rag, make shure its dry, and do not paint it right after driving the car, make shure its cool, and you shud be set.
