Hey everyone! I've been posting on Honda-Tech for a lil while now and I was mainly looking at Accords, but today I picked up my FIRST car!! Its a dark green 1997 Integra GSR with 60k miles on it. I love it so much and I just thought I'd share with all of you! Pics are on the way, I would've taken them tonight but it was way too dark...o well, I'll snap some tomorrow!

One question, what is the name of the color of my car? Did they make more than one dark green in 1997?

Thanks everyone! I love my car so much!!! I paid $12,000 out the door, I'm not sure if thats a good price or not but my car is so clean, it looks brand new. All I need to do is wash it...lol. I took pics today but I dont know how to post them, can someone help me out?

Integra people not liking rice? Woah. Looks like you over paid for a wannabe sports car. 12 g's man? you could have picked up a 3rd gen fd for that price almost. but,each is to his own i guess, i used to want a teg

 

First of all, did you see my mileage? 60,000 miles on a 97. Plus the car is perfectly clean inside and out, only one small imperfection! I think I got a pretty good deal because I have been looking for a while and havent found one this clean with this low of mileage in my price range. Also, I wasnt allowed to pick up an FD cuz they are turbo and insurance is high on them.

Also, I forgot to mention my tires! The guy who had it last upgraded to Bridgestone Potenza Z rated tires, 205/50/15 all around. It makes the car handle soooooooo well!

 

For 12g's it's okay price I suppose, since you got it from a dealer.

 

congratulations man..i wish i knew about this site since the day i picked up my car..would have saved me thousands of dollars and countless hours of headache.

 

And for another 12 g's you could pay to keep the FD running for about a year. If you're lucky it'd only be in the shop for 6 months so you could still drive it the other 6. Or you could go for the Teg and pay $1000 to keep it running another 10 years. "Each is to his own I guess."

welcome to the group man! i have a gen 2 but i like the gen 3s just as much good luck drving and take care of it dont use that vtec to much

congrats fellow teg owner...2 of my friends has d same color as urs and until now i dont know what they call that paint .....i got a 95 GSR BLACK on BLACK leather for 8K i got it from LUXURYMOTORS.COM here in illinois..i was there just lookin at bentleys and RR when this old man drove in with the teg and traded it in...bought it and took it home 2 days later... i can remember drivin that teg home coZ it was only 2 months ago..


first thing purchased for my teg was a revhard kit with a t04e...
thermal 3" exhaust
now im driving around with temp plate
keepin it a sleeper

Im just asking what is so great about tegs..they are reliable, not performance cars (FWD) so why do you guys imply that with your outrageous spoilers and whatnot?

I love the new car feeling. You try to find excuses to go places so you can drive it. Congrats on the find...the 97 GS-R's were kind of rare.

 

congrats on the car... I remember the day I went to test drive and got my car.. the dealer almost killed me (and himself) trying to show me what "VTEC can do" he went on the opposite side of the road to pass a car to "show me VTEC" and a car on the opposite lane turned right/out into the road and we almost hit it head on.. I wonder why that dealer went out of business haha (Star Acura on Brand Blvd.. which is now a ford or Chevy dealer.. I forget.. )

 

I picked up my car at a Subaru dealer, it was kinda funny, I couldnt stop staring at this WR Pearl Blue WRX the entire time!!! I took some pics of my car, but I need to know how to post them! Can someone help me???
