Default my jacket was stolen. i found it on craigslist.

yes i'm a dumbass for leaving my jacket on my bike. i parked it near the store entrance and was out in 5min. when i saw my bike my jacket was gone. i was pissed the whole day.

fast forward 5 days and someone posts a jacket for sale in the local craiglist that looks exactly like mine. i'm almost positive that it's the same one. this is a small town and an even smaller motorcycle community. i called the number in the listing but they keep saying i have the wrong number. i filed a police report but i don't think they'll do anything.

the day after it was stolen i had already ordered another one and let it go. but i had to look for it on craiglist and now i'm pissed about something i have no control over. expletive.

just tell the guy you want to meet up to buy the jacket. shoot him an email with a time and a place.

have a few buddies (or a few cops) with you when you're ready to make the exchange.

sell new or old jacket on ebay

Cops won't do ****. Meet up with this loser, sock him in the back of his dome, take your jacket and leave.

unless you marked the jacket somehow there's no way to fully prove that it was yours. You're SOL. Lesson learned i guess.

I had the radio stolen out of my car, shortly afterward I (and the police) found the same model radio with my name and the date of installation which matched my receipt from Circuit City on eBay, nothing came of it. Sometimes I wonder how hard that detective was working.

Just because your stuff is marked doesn't mean anything

That sucks. I'm surprised they couldn't match serial numbers on somthing like a cd player. I would say the best way to mark a jacket would be to stitch your name on the inside somewhere. Probably wouldnt be of much help though I'm guessing.. never know.

I would of been the highest bidder and since you guys were possibly local, I would of brougth the Police with you or let them know you were gonna conduct the transaction. If they would of told me I was on my own, then I would of brought my family and trust me, we're not cute looking.
