which head should i get
i went to my local shop and i was talking and i told them i'm interested in doing a b18c1 head swap on my ls. They said thats cool but the b18c1 heads are hard to find and when you do they are $$$...so he suggested to me that i should get a b16a head and put it on my ls. Whats the diff.?
B18C
smalller chambers = more compression = more power
more airflow AS IS = more power
not as common = more expensive
can only use Skunk2 or JG/Edelbrock single runner intake manifold
B16A
better airflow characteristics/potential for porting
can use ITR intake manifold (OEM Honda =
)
So basically, if you are going to slap it together, go with the B18C head.
If you are going to do it RIGHT and have the right pistons, etc., go with the B16A head.
